We don’t like talking about ourselves, but we’d like to share a bit about our little family and family business, especially why we decided to start a non-toxic cleaning company. We’re the Rogers/Devine household, a Christ centered family and we’ve been serving the local community with an exterior cleaning business since 2010. In 2014 our daughter who was about 15 months old was typically developing, smiling and laughing, singing, counting, etc, suddenly woke up a completely different kid. She was no longer talking, smiling, singing, or counting. She was now only staring at the blank ceiling and staring at the walls. For the past 10 years we’ve been to countless specialists to figure out what happened and how a normal developing child all of the sudden wakes up a completely different child.
Fast forward 10 years and we’re still fighting for her to get proper care and a better quality of life. What we’ve learned over the years is that her body reacted poorly to foreign substances, possibly a vaccine, or an infection that her doctors missed that broke the blood-brain barrier. During those years we began to realize that many household cleaners are extremely toxic. We learned that many processed foods are toxic and detrimental to our family’s health. We decided in early 2024 to begin controlling what we can control and that is mainly food and what is used on our skin and inside of our home in an attempt to properly educate our children on making good and healthy choices moving forward.
Non-toxic cleaning is good for everyone and we’d never recommend using a toxic cleaning solution if there’s an eco-friendly alternative even if they cost more. Non-toxic cleaning is extremely important for the immunocompromised, those suffering with allergies and respiratory issues, young developing children, and the elderly. Any way you slice it, repeated use of toxic chemicals to clean your home is bad for your family’s health, so hopefully if you come across this and still clean your home, you move on to safer cleaning solutions.
